You can order a repeat prescription in several ways:

Ordering online

  • Bransholme: 01482 336101 from 2pm - 4pm, Monday to Friday

Repeat Dispensing Service

If you take medication on a long-term basis you may be able to have a number of repeat prescriptions without being seen although you will need a medication review at least once a year.

This means you won't have to visit the surgery or make an appointment to see the doctor or practice nurse every time you need more medicine. Talk to your doctor, local pharmacist or practice nurse to find out more and whether your medication is suitable for repeat dispensing. To set up repeat dispensing, you can use the same ordering options as above.

Medication Reviews

If you have repeat medication you will need to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount for those who pay for their medicines.

Free prescriptions are available under certain circumstances. To see if you qualify click here.

If you have a lot of medication you may benefit from a prescription prepayment certificate (PPC) which is a bit like a season ticket, paying a flat fee regardless of the number of medications you receive. For more information click here.
